Walk-in Wednesday flu & COVID-19 vaccination clinics will resume in 2025

Walk-in Wednesday Flu and COVID-19 vaccination clinics will resume in 2025 at Wyandot County Public Health after a brief break for the holidays.

Walk-in Wednesday clinics are open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays for individuals ages six months and older. Clinics will resume Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025, at the health department, 127-A S. Sandusky Ave., Upper Sandusky.

Available vaccines include the 2024-2025 trivalent flu vaccine and the 2024-2025 Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, approved for ages six months and older. High dose flu vaccines are available for individuals aged 65 and older. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to receive vaccines.

Flu and COVID-19 vaccines, in addition to other routine vaccines, are also offered by appointment-only on Mondays and Fridays at Wyandot County Public Health. Appointment times often fill up quickly and must be scheduled in advance by calling 419-294-3852.

Insurance cards are required for those who intend to be vaccinated at any Wyandot County Public Health clinics. Individuals who are uninsured or underinsured may qualify for reduced cost vaccines. Eligibility for reduced cost vaccines may be determined by calling Wyandot County Public Health and asking about the Bridge Access Program (adults) or the VFC program (children) ahead of walk-in clinics and appointments.

Due to the increased risk of occupational exposure to flu strains, certain farm workers may qualify for free flu vaccines and should call ahead to inquire about eligibility.

Wyandot County Public Health is nationally accredited through the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB). Established in 2007, PHAB is the non-profit organization that administers the national accreditation program, which aims to advance and transform public health practice by championing performance improvement, strong infrastructure, and innovation.
