Walk-in COVID-19 vaccine clinics for 18 and older (Moderna) are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays at Wyandot County Public Health. These clinics will offer both the initial doses of Moderna and the Bivalent booster of Moderna. Appointments are available for upcoming COVID-19 vaccination clinics for youth ages six months to 17 years on Mondays and Fridays. Booster doses are not available at youth clinics. To schedule call 419-294-3852. COVID test kits are available weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. while supplies last.
There are currently 62* active cases of COVID-19 in Wyandot County. There are four patients currently hospitalized for COVID-19. Per the Ohio Department of Health, the cumulative case count since March 2020 is 6,074. This includes 4,348 lab-confirmed cases and 1,726 probable cases. Of the reported individuals, there have been 107 deaths. ODH updates these numbers weekly on Thursdays. A total of 5,927* individuals have been released from isolation.
Wyandot County’s community level per the CDC is medium (yellow). Prevention recommendations include staying up to date with COVID-19 vaccinations and getting tested for COVID if symptoms are present. People at high risk for severe illness should speak to a healthcare provider about additional precautions. ** Currently, Wyandot County Public Health counts vaccinated cases as all those who have received the initial dose or doses of the COVID-19 vaccine and not vaccinated cases as those who have not received any doses or did not complete the initial series of the COVID vaccine. At this time, reported vaccinated cases may include individuals who are not up to date on vaccinations.
